On a visit to a sick friend, Andrés Ramírez -the first professor of the Chair of Happiness in Colombia- resignified his concept of happiness. A deep conversation and the image of his friend's electrocardiogram made him reflect that being alive is having highs and lows, that is to say "heart rate", and that until that moment his idea of happiness had only contemplated states of joy, tranquility, enthusiasm and peace.
